Dr. Hiroto Matsuse graduated from Oita University and obtained Doctor of Medicine in 1989. He was received Ph. D. by Nagasaki University in 1996. He studied clinic and conducted research in the field of respiratory medicine and allergy at the Second Department of Internal Medicine, Nagasaki University School of Medicine (1989~2013). He studied abroad at the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, University of South Florida (Prof. Richard F Rockey) (1997-1999). Since 2014, he was a professor of Division of Respiratory Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Toho University and served as Director of Hospital Infection Risk Management Office, Toho University Ohashi Medical Center. His current research interest includes clinical trial in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, molecular interaction between allergic airway inflammation and respiratory infection, pathogenesis of chronic cough and clinical evaluation of Mycobacterium Avium complex pulmonary diseases.
