Dr Ko is a specialist respiratory consultant physician in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics at Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong and the Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Dr Ko’s main research interest is in asthma and COPD and has published more than 180 papers in peer-reviewed journals. She was elected as the Fellow of the European Respiratory Society in 2022. She was also a recipient of the Croucher Foundation Scholarship and Hong Kong Lung Foundation Fellowship.
Dr Ko is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), Chairman of Hong Kong Lung Foundation, Senior Editor of Respirology and Medical Advisor of the Hong Kong Asthma Society. In addition, she is a Past President of the Hong Kong Thoracic Society and past Vice-President of the Hong Kong Institute of Allergy.

Dr Lam is Clinical Associate Professor, Chief of Division of Respiratory Medicine, and Deputy Chief of Service of the Department of Medicine, HKU.
He is a respiratory physician with research interests in lung cancer, COPD, smoking and airway physiology. He performs endobronchial ultrasonography and autofluorescence imaging for early detection of lung cancer. He established a lung nodule program to complement lung screening study.
He is on the International Lung Screening Trial Consortium, steering multi-centered lung screening research. In his laboratory, new lung cancer cell lines and organoids serve as models for research in lung cancer.
He is the President of APSR and President of the Forum of International Respiratory Societies (FIRS).
He is Deputy Editor of Respirology and Associate Editor of Respirology Case Report; Honorary Secretary of Hong Kong Lung Foundation (HKLF); and Co-Chairperson of the East Asian Lung Cancer Screening Alliance.
He received multiple research awards including the Tohoku Medical Society Medal (2019), the APSR Woolcock Research Award (2021), and HKLF Donald Yu Lecture (2023).

Dr Chi Chiu Leung graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 1983 and underwent postgraduate training in respiratory medicine and public health, and research fellowship in Stanford University Medical Centre. He previously served as Consultant Chest Physician and headed the Public Service Branch of the Centre for Health Protection, Department of Health, Hong Kong, China. He was the principal investigator of the Hong Kong study site of the Tuberculosis Trial Consortium from 2009 to 2018 and chaired the Pneumoconiosis Medical Board from 1996 to 2018. He previously served in the editorial board of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and chief editor of the International Journal of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. He is currently a deputy editor of Respirology and honorary consultant of the Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association. He has published over 200 articles in peer-review journals with over 10000 citations.

Dr. Lui is the consultant physician of Queen Mary Hospital and the honorary clinical associate professor of The University of Hong Kong. She is the Director of Cluster Sleep Service, Hong Kong West Cluster. She received her undergraduate training at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong (HKU). After a series of research endeavour on sleep disordered breathing, she also attained Doctor of Medicine (MD) HKU, with research focus on biomarkers in cardio-metabolic complications of obstructive sleep apnoea. She is currently the Honorary Secretary of the Hong Kong Thoracic Society. She has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, and is currently the Deputy Editor of Respirology, the official journal of the Asia Pacific Society of Respirology.

Dr Ng graduated from Imperial College, London in 1999 with honours, and received his training in cardiothoracic surgery in Hong Kong and UK. He is a pioneer in single port VATS, hybrid operating room image guided surgery, navigation and robotic bronchoscopy, and endobronchial ablation therapies. He is co-PI in NAVABLATE, TARGET, INCITE-ES and POWER studies among others, investigating these technologies. His academic contributions include more than 270 publications in indexed international journals, as well as books and book chapters.
